ECHO Community Newspaper provides a source of information, comment and entertainment to the Earlsdon, Chapelfields, Hearsall and Spon End districts of Coventry. It was first published in April 1979 and is produced eleven times a year. 2006 saw the publication of the 300th issue of ECHO.

ECHO is produced entirely by volunteers and is independently financed by sales and advertising. It is not affiliated to any political, religious, commercial or other organisation.

ECHO is sold through over 20 outlets, including newsagents, churches, pubs and various shops. Recognising the value of ECHO as a non-profit making service to the community, none of the outlets takes a commission on sales.

ECHO is produced by a regular team of ten to twelve people but also welcomes additional material from local people and organisations. We believe that the essence of a community newspaper is that it is open to anyone who has a contribution to make.
